Tosh Valley Trek

Tosh valley in the Kullu region of Himachal Pradesh is the gateway to high passes such as Sara Umga and Animal pass. The valley also attracts mountaineering teams wanting to scale the highest peaks in the Kullu region – Papsura and Dharmsura. There are several picturesque villages and untouched meadows that make  excellent camping spots in this region.

The trek commences from Tosh, a scenic village on a mountain slope, overlooking Tosh river and a beautiful waterfall. The path from Tosh to Buddaban is along the Tosh river and passes through a dense coniferous forest. Buddhaban is a wide meadow with a perennial spring. The next stop is yet another picturesque meadow called Shirdi Thatch. The trail from Shirdi Thatch to Sharam Thatch crosses several meadows and rhododendron forests. Sharam Thatch is the highest point of the trek at around 3500 m. We retrace the route to Tosh in 2 days.
