This relatively short trek in Langtang National Park (125 km from Kathmandu) winds through rhododendron and bamboo forests, past roaring waterfalls, and offers splendid views of snow-capped peaks in the Langtang region. While the highest altitude is 4,000m (13,123 ft), the trail offers the option to summit Tserko Ri at 5,000m (16,404 ft) for a breathtaking sunrise view.

This trek also familiarizes you to the Buddhist heritage of the Tamang and Sherpa communities, with the ancient Kyanjin Gompa monastery as a spiritual highlight. Spectacular panoramas of Dorje Lakpa (6,990m), Langtang Ri (6,370m), and Langtang Lirung (7,245m) are among the highlights of the trek.

Langtang Village, devastated by the 2015 earthquake, has been resiliently rebuilt the locals. Visiting this region not only supports local livelihoods but offers a powerful experience of renewal. It’s an ideal trek for  those seeking a quieter, off-the-beaten-path alternative to Nepal’s busier trekking routes.
