What is so special about our trips?

Outdoers India is a trekking and adventure outfit founded by a few nature lovers and adventure sport enthusiasts. We curate immensely rewarding treks in various regions of the country that are untouched by mainstream tourism. We focus on treks for school children, family-friendly treks and birdwatching trips. Our packages are designed for children aged 8 yrs and upwards, and adults and can be undertaken by any reasonably fit person.

Our trips include a little bit of structured learning as well – children (and adults!) will have an opportunity to participate in activities such as birdwatching, stargazing, jumaaring, river-crossing etc. We currently operate in Uttarakhand, Nepal, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, Odisha and Karnataka.

Sustainability Efforts

Sustainability is at the core of everything we do and we make an earnest effort to keep the ecological footprint of our trips to the minimum. These responsible tourism practices help us in achieving our sustainability goals:

  • On our trips, we avoid taking packaged food that have excessive packaging.
  • We avoid bottled water and disposables.
  • We promote local businesses. For example we prefer homestays over bigger hotels and hotel chains.
  • We employ local people to help us in local arrangements.
  • We have a zero-littering policy. In fact we try to leave our campsites and trails cleaner than they were before.
  • We try to use locally available ingredients while cooking.
  • We also work with village communities in order to raise awareness on waste management and organic farming.

An avid trekker and a nature lover, has done several high-altitude and low-altitude treks in the Himalayas, Sahayadris and the Western ghats since the age of 14. After almost two decades in the corporate world, Shyam decided to follow his heart and set up an adventure outfit that enables city folks to tread the road less traveled and visit some of the most beautiful, unexplored places in the mountains.

Sunder Singh BoraNature lover

A native of Uttarakhand, Sunder grew up in a small hamlet in the mountains. He has immense knowledge of native flora and fauna and is a trained birding guide. He is also qualified in mountaineering and has led several glacial treks. Sunder has also worked in the hospitality industry and taking good care of guests comes naturally to him.

While information is the cornerstone of our ability to provide superior service, our most important asset is our clients’ trust. Keeping client information secure, and using it only as our clients would want us to, is a top priority for all of us at Outdoers. Here are the details of our policy:

  • – We will safeguard, according to strict standards of security and confidentiality, any information our customers share with us.
  • – We will limit the collection and use of customer information to the minimum we require to deliver superior service to our customers which includes advising our customers about our products, services and other opportunities, and to administer our business.

  • – We will not reveal customer information to any external organization unless we have previously informed the customer in disclosures or agreements, or are required by law.
