Description

Tucked away in a remote corner of Kumaon, picturesque Sarayu Valley is bestowed with commanding views of the Himalayan giants, a gushing river, alpine meadows and virgin forests. On this trip you will stay in a humble homestay in a quaint village for a couple of nights. This gives you an opportunity to experience the famed Kumaoni hospitality, and to observe Kumaoni culture from close quarters. There are plenty of short and long hikes in the neighbourhood. We will do a couple of walks in the vicinity before moving to Jaikuni, a high-altitude meadow with astounding views of the Himalayas. Nandakot, Mrigthuni, Maiktoli, Trishul and other peaks seem within touching distance from here!

On the return leg, you will descend to a beautiful campsite called Dhakuri before hitting the road. On the way to Sarayu and back, you will stop at a couple of scenic locations near Binsar and Kausani.
